"Stu presented a wonderful story of rock and roll to our lower school children. Using a power point to help the students understand the history of rock and roll and using hands on activities, Stu had all the children interested and totally involved. From the study of the early 50’s through the times of Elvis, the combination of power point, questions and answers, playing of the guitar and laughter kept the children engrossed for almost one hour. It was a superb and invigorating demonstration.
I agree with the premise of rock and roll and its influence on American social and economic history. Having been raised in the late 50’s and 60’s, and also being an historian by trade, the music of the times reflected and had a large impact on those years and on me as well. The music told the story of much change in the country and the excitement, angst, rebellion and uncertainty of that period." Tom Richards, Head of School, Goshen Friends School
"Stu Frederick’s presentation on the origins of rock and roll was age appropriate, engaging and throroughly entertaining. His love of music, children, and teaching was infectious. Totally cool daddy-o!" Michelle Blackwell, Development Officer, Goshen Friends School
